Chrissy Carr is an electrical engineer specializing in the design of telecommunications systems and utility automation. She presently serves as Client Strategy Director in Burns & McDonnell’s Network, Integration & Automation Engineering Department. She has 26 years of engineering and project management.  Ms. Carr is currently starting the Burns & McDonnell Asset Health Center. Ms. Carr’s experience in telecommunications includes fiber optic systems, microwave radio (analog and digital – 900 MHz through 18 GHz), land mobile radio (UHF/VHF), Hybrid Fiber/Coax (HFC), local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs). She has responsibilities in planning and design of wired and wireless infrastructure for a wide variety of clients in the municipal utilities, investor-owned utilities, rural electric cooperatives, industrial companies, and state and federal governments. Ms. Carr has experience in SONET systems as while as Multiprotocol Labeling Switching (MPLS). Ms. Carr has understanding of Smart Grid applications for electric utilities.
